Sanirang Alpine Networks Ice Climbing School runs for this coming winter will be offered only once. The program begins December 23, 2012 and ends January 6th, 2013.
This is a an excellent opportunity and not exclusive to beginners, but is also great for intermediate ice climbers alike because this course covers such a wide range of skills on various grades of ice and is an excellent way to review and practice the numerous techniques on ice with experienced and qualified instructors. Throughout the cours
e, clients will learn basic ice climbing skills on low grade grade and vertical ice walls. Applied winter clothing systems‚ ice safety‚ knots‚ top-rope belaying‚ abseiling and other applied techniques exclusive to winter climbing conditions will be learned such as the various French techniques‚ N-Body‚ X-Body and other useful ice climbing skills throughout. The course progreses in an organized and timely fashion under the professional supervision of our instructors. A new and different location will be chosen for each outing‚ giving clients a fuller comprehension and appreciation for ice climbing in Korea.
The final session finishes off with a weekend trip to the outskirts of the northern GyeongGi Province areas to do exception ice climbing the first day and finishes off the next and final day up a natural multi-pitch ice fall topped off with plenty of top-roping to finish off the day!
