In Korea the most common type is the squat round butane/ propane gas containers that are about 5 inches diameter and 3 inches high (approx only!). They have the screw on thread for stoves. Also their is the taller cheaper butane/ propane hook on bottles which are also used with a blow-torch attachment etc for DIY stuff, and finally Korea also has white gas (liquid) for use in stoves like the whisperlite range etc.

Cheers, that first description matches one of my stoves. It's the one that I could find canisters for in New Zealand, Australia and Canada.

My other ones are campingaz
