haven't yet seen em here but i wouldn't be surprised at all; it's just the kind of silly, outlandish product climbers here would jump all over and either wear to excess or never at all.

but then again, most don't need it because the belay so far from the wall, they barely have to crane their necks to see what's going on above.

i've seen 'em, or at least i saw someone wearing something very similar. i didn't ask where he got them tho.

I talked to someone at Reel Rock who said they knew someone who had a pair, and they were pretty awesome. Also said they were special-ordered from Germany, at a cost approaching $200...

Apparently they gained wide popularity in Red River Gorge seemingly overnight.
