Ice Climb for a day?

Hello,

I've never ice climbed before, but I would love to try it sometime. I have some other friends who are also interested. Is there somewhere close to Gyeongsangnam-Do where we could do an outdoors day climb? We live on Geoje Island and would need to drive up. Also, we would need to rent all the gear and would need a guide to help show us where to go. Is there such a place we could do this from? If so could I get information on it? Costs? Location? English speaking staff?

I'm also looking for some spelunking that includes climbing, repelling, and worming through areas. Elbow and knee pads would be a must. Know of such a place..that comes with a guide?

For guided ice climbing, you might want to check Sanirang for possibilities. http://sanirang.net/guiding/ They're based near Seoul but maybe you could work out a custom deal.

As for spelunking..... there are a few caves around the east coast... but I've never heard of any real exploring opportunities through them. We're talking neon-lit walkways. Still fairly interesting..... but not quite as exciting as you might be after. Again, ask Peter at Sanirang, he might know. Perhaps another community member will pipe in with a better idea than I have.
