Mirae Crag - Seoul climbers
My holme-slice Dong-il and I checked out a "new" crag in Seoul yesterday that's not listed on this site. It's at Moraksan (Geumjeong subway st). Just follow the main hiking trail from the apartments' entrance going up, 20 min, and it'll take you straight to it. There's a couple of watertaps at the bottom of the trail. Look for the area sign 1-5 on the trail and you're there.
Bring your balls with you if you go, the climbing is intense. The lines are short and overhanging. No higher than 15m, but the moves are incredibly sick. Most of the routes are graded in the 11s and 12s. There is at least one 10d in the middle and also one 5.9 which is separated from the rest of the routes on the far left. There's a 13b on a sweet corner at the beginning. There's a diagram on the first route with the grades and ish.
Most of the bolts are good, but a majority of the chains are not so bring extra draws for the top. I'm planning on coming back later to replace the anchors and to clean up the routes & the trail. With some TLC, I can see it being a popular place to climb. It's in the shade until noon, then it's in the sun all day after that.
You'll need 8 draws (2 for the anchor) and a short rope.
GPS: 37.367398,126.974084
I'll post it under the climbs once I get some pics of it -later
