Landscape Question

Has anyone come across any areas of significant sediment in a low lying valley or plain in Korea? I know of a few areas, but I'm looking for some more to answer some geology questions I have. I'm not looking for sediment from blasting but from natural erosion.

Any help, with directions and/or perhaps photos, would be great.

Thanks!

Best I think of is the Imjin gang estuary. It's only a few kilometers across at its widest, but I'm certain there has been no major excavation, demolition or engineering along its tributaries. There's is a catch. The Imjin flows into the Han estuary. Kim Jong Il owns the north side of the Han, but the Imjin is accessible by local fisherman, so it's not impossible if you have reasonable credentials and coordinate with the Brigade that controls the wire along highway 23. They will need at least a week to process your request. I would include a letter from your school justifying your research. One last consideration... mines. They were planted liberally during the war, but 60 years of monsoons has washed a portion of them from their original locations and every so often, someone gets blown up. In fact, you should check my facebook because I posted a pic of one of two I almost sat on last month. But hey, nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?

Thanks, I'll look into it. This research isn't for my school, so that won't help. However, I think my connections via my NGO might be able to get me in (I've been invited on research trips to wetlands near the DMZ in the past).

I'm not on Facebook, so I unfortunately won't be able to see the photos.
