BUSAN shout out

to the many Busan climbers who turned up this weekend. . . great to meet so many new people and Dong-il! and get out to some old favorites and amazing new crags! It was one good-experience followed by another.

Thanks Kris (with 2 F's), our visiting climber from Japan, who waited for me at Amnan Friday as I bussed into Busan a little later than I hoped; Grant who put us (and Tim of Geoje) up for the weekend, showed us around town. . . a gracious host and most energetic person; everyone who turned out Saturday: Robin, Eddie, Aaron, Chad, Sashi, Allison. . . (who am I forgetting?) and especially those who made both days. . . Dong-il (who gets a special thanks for taking us to Bird Chorus Rock and treated us to brunch), Jake, Drew, Tim!

Thanks, too, to the pink flowers, ladybugs and sunshine that greeted us Sunday. . .

I will start my work-week a happier person! OH-- and I should mention that along with the makkoli, dancing, pool, darts, double-dinners, and norae-bangging, we got in a lot of great climbing! Congrats to Drew on his first lead and Tim on his first lead belaying:-) Hope to see all of y'all at the Meet and Greet and at least some of y'all in Jeonju!

I have to send up a second big THANK YOU to everyone in Busan. You ladies and gents made this past week an amazing jumping off point for my big adventure. I hope we all keep in touch and can climb in some other great places in the future. I'll probably end up in S.F. or Denver once I'm back in the USA so if you're ever thinking of a place to come visit keep me in mind. Great times with goofy people... Grant don't sell our painting!
