I went to buy a daisy the other day in Daejeon only to find that an "old school" daisy (tape sling with loops sewn into it) was 40,000W. I was pretty bummed at how pricey it was and remembered that Jake told me to check out the Petzl Quickfix.
Turns out that its only 20,000W and what a cool little piece of gear! Its super easy to adjust WHILE clipped in which makes those multipitch belay points super easy now, you dont have to worry about equalizing, just pull the strap and you are done. To release tension, all you do is pull on the little belay loop they have there and off you go.
But I do take flak at the wall for climbing sport with a piece of gear thats considered "aid" gear only.
It's worth it. It was cheap and it works super well eh.
(Plus if you suck at climbing and really like to hang dog it like me, if you can slam it into a clip, you can totall jug your way up past the hard parts
