CPR Cert?

I'm trying to take care of this early so I'm not running around at the last minute. I currently have my Wilderness First Responder certification and would like to keep it that way. For it to be valid, I need my CPR certification to be current as well. Mine expires in May. Where in Korea can I get take this course so I don't lose my WFR. My CPR is currently through American Red Cross, but can be through another organization as well.

You could go here and look at the KOrean Red Cross. They do various training programs and in fact I'm hoping to get them (or anyone) to run an accreditted first aid course here at our uni (as we have plenty of people who want to re-new/ get) the first aid cert).

Arrow Anyone interested in getting a CPR cert?

Thanks for the link, Jake. It took some time to get a reply from the Korean Red Cross, but I finally heard from them today.
Quote:
If you take the CPR course, you will receive certification that validity period is 1 year.
However, since there are not many people who want to take the course in english, if you would like to take the course in English, you need to form a group with more than 10 people. Also this is only possible in Seoul Chapter and Gyeonggi-do Chapter.
If you are able to take the training in Korean, you can look up the schedule online at www.redcross.or.kr, and contact the chapter that is close to you.

As I don't speak Korean I am just checking to see if there are 9 other people who would be interested in taking an English spoken CPR course. I'm not for sure of any costs related, but I can't imagine it being too expensive. If anyone is interested, hit me up and maybe we can get something started.

Mate! I am so totally in! If they need 10 people to run an English Speakers CPR/ 1st Aid course (I'm giessing that is why you need 9 extra people?) then I think we should easily be able to get that number from KOTRers alone, but I know at least 2 others who are just non-climbing friends who would also jump at this. If you e-mail/ pm me their reply (English/ Korean all OK) I'll see what they siad too.
C'mon folks, who else is in?

Put my name on the list. If ever I stop breathing after a post-climb soju-assault, I'd sure hope there'd be someone there to put the life back in me. I'm assuming that's a text-book case-study....

I also contacted the RC the other day (yet to hear back), and need to get a course. I'm extremely interested in joining you guys, but I fear I may not be around when you do it. If you guys can't get scheduled until after March, count me in. If you have the time and opening whilst I'm in the Himalaya, go for it, and I'll get on board with another group once I return.
