So I hike up Dobongsan, and now I decide to get a light down jacket so I go to Jongno-5-ga. . . (and I find a lovely one for W100k) and then I still have to walk past more gear shops. . . so I am saying to myself: DON'T LOOK! DONT LOOK! and out of the corner of my eye I kinda see this pile of shoes with a sign for W20,000. . . well, Imelda I am not, but I get to thinking about how I'll only have one pair of shoes in Slovakia at the moment. . . (that is not the case anymore!)
So I sit down and sift through-- mostly mad Rock, some Trango, Boreal, 5.10. . . sized from kids to 280, with virtually everything in between. I am guessing it's on until they sell out. I couldn't resist a pair at that price.
The store is Mountain Equipment, a bit east of Jongno-5-ga station. . . if you walk along the Chonggyecheon, turn left (N) at the Black Yak store and it's about half a block, on the left. At any rate, there are lots of good sales going on, but this shoe price is hard to beat, and as of today there were many sizes. . .
