Hey there,

I was going to save my first topic on this forum for something contributary, or at the very least, interesting. Right now, however, we're packing for our flight to Busan tomorrow and have a question...

Are propane-butane gas canisters widely available in South Korea? Or at least available?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Keep an eye out in the near future for newbie questions from yours truly,

Regards,

Dennis

Hey dennis, welcome to the site.

if propane-butane gas canisters are the canisters that are screwed on to the stove and are filled with compressed gas, yes they are readily available. most koreans use they type of gas cannisters that screw on to the stove.

i have a MSR Whisperlite which i can also find white(camping) gas for too, but not so readily.

busan has lots of outdoor stores. you should have no problems. and if you cant find what you need you can pick up really compact stoves for about $30.

i hope that helps...

eric
