Yep

That is the same info that I got from the folks in Daegu when I was there. Saturday is the opening ceramony and qualifying. Sunday is the finals. I am planning on droping in for a look on Sunday if all works out with my trip north.

I think this was the contest that Sang-won (one of the top climbers in Asia) beat Sharma at last year...

Good comp and the weather held Sunday. . . Lots of familiar faces and some new ones!

Does anyone know how Shannon is?

Yeah, the comp was definitely awesome. Evidently Shannon received a minor compression fracture in her lower back, according to Chris's report. She'll be in the hospital for a couple of days. She is a trooper, as well as being incredibly strong! Kudos to her!

Yeah, the comp was amazing. Some super strong climbing, really intense finals and great competitors all around...

Hope some more people can make it to the next one.

Well it was a cool day in more then one way. The weather and I got to see some familuar faces(Folks from Daegu Power Climbing). I did not stay for the awards but I think Sang-won took second?? He flashed the first route in the finals and missed the last hold on his first go at the second route. There was another guy that did both first time out... I got to see the owner of the gym I train at climb a crazy route that he did not finish. I am thinking that he is a better sport climber then he is a boulderer...

Kim-Lee competed and placed in the top third.. I heard that a few other forgien climbers made it out as well and I met a few others that I did not know but Kim-Lee did.

Later Mike
