spring is here. rope up. pull down..
a shout from the north east. the weather has turned and the rock has warmed. aside from the yellow dust, the weather is perfect for climbing. seoraksan's stone is ripe for the pulling.
andrew and i have already had a few days out on some sport routes at the crags around sokcho. we've got enough time before class to drive to a crag and pull down a few hours before heading into work. awesome.
we (mostly andrew) spent the winter searching out new areas to climb in and around sokcho. he found a decent number of quality boulders in the area. and the bouldering potential north of sokcho is insane. we've found hills littered with boulders as far as the eye can see. so far, we've only checked a few of them out. not a high percentage of pearls, but considering the concentration of stone, there'll stull be plenty to climb once the area is developed. i'll keep you all posted. there's also the ulsanbawi boulders to consider. there is a ton of rock up there waiting to be sent. anyone interested, drop me a line.
