Flights to China

Hi, I am planning on taking a flight from Seoul to China, probably Beijing. Can anyone recommend a cheap airline? I have been looking at Asiana airlines but they are coming up quite expensive! Any pointers?

i always have great luck with singapore airlines. they seem to be the cheapest and the service and amenities is second to none!

Wherever I am flying from Korea, I usually make about 6-8 e-mail inquiries to various travel agents (listed in the English papers) which generally land me several different flight/price offers to choose from. The more flexible you can be, the better. Generally after 8 it's repeats of the same flights with near identical prices. Good luck!

great suggestion skinsk but be sure to email the travel agents separately, not in a group email. i seem to get more responses back this way.

I wish I could find a good discount travel website in Korea, like expedia. I'm sure they exist, they're just in Korean. Anyway...so here's what I do when I'm trying to figure out fares. Check out Incheon airport's departing flight schedules to find out which airlines fly to Beijing and when. Here's the link http://www.airport.or.kr/.
Then you can just google each airline and find fares to your destination. It's really tedious to do this, but it's the only way I've been able to compare rates so far. And by the way...the Chinese airlines often don't have fare information on the English website. You're probably better off going to a travel agent. But you should check out a couple fares the long tedious way anyhow, just to get an idea.
