Road Trip Korea

This summer my girlfriend and I are planning on climbing all over Korea. We have a month to climb and want to hit as many cool places as we can. Since we can climb during the week, we'd love to hit up places that are normally crowded on weekends.

We don't have a car but are fine taking public transportation. She's Korean so we'll be able to navigate without a problem. We are planning to camp and stay in minbaks. I live in Daejeon and would like to explore areas in the rest of the country that aren't near Daejeon. We are looking for trad, sport, and multipitch in the 5.9-5.11 range.

So here is my question for you: What is your favorite, can't miss place to climb in Korea? Where should we make sure to go?

Dan-- when are y'all free? We are looking for people to head to Seoraksan starting this Saturday-Sun or Monday (we have to be in Donghae on Tuesday-- but you're welcome to join us there at Mureung Valley for some trad) then back to Seorak for a few days! We have equipment but need some strong trad climbers to help with guidebook photos. Strong Korean women are encouraged to come out!! We'll be road-tripping until July 4 so check out my profile and call, sms or send an e-mail. My inbox is pretty full!
