New to the area

I've been in Korea for about a month and am looking to join a climbing group, I got a buddy whose athletic who might like to come too. I've done some climbing in Acadia national Park and in Utah, but I am a novice by all accounts. I was wondering about some suggestions for gear and such.

I saw the meet and greet post for the large group and am thinking about attending, but I need a bit of info on gear, especially climbing shoes. Is there a place to rent or do I need to buy online and have shipped, oh yeah one side note, I have a size 15 US shoe, so it takes a little finding. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

That's pretty big. I don't think you'll find it in anywhere in Korea. Whereabouts are you living in Korea?

A buddy of mine found a pair of size 15's in jongo-5... though honestly I think they have been sitting on the shelf for 2-3 years...

I live in Suwon, I can order online and have em shipped, just wanted a couple suggestions if they were out there, if not, just a suggestion or two on groups or somethin. The times that I went I really enjoyed climbing, but again i'm a novice.

I just saw a few pairs of large climbing shoes at 'di dim dol' in Jongno 5 ga on Saturday. Exit 6, take your first left you'll start seeing all the climbing shops. Once you see Mammut on the corner you can turn left or right to find more shops. If you turn right, di dim dol is on your right. Didimdol has one of the biggest selections. Good luck!
