Busan Igidae 14-15th May

Summer is here and it's fuckin buzzin.

As a warm up for Jason's crazy island orgy, we are going to go to this new area I found in Busan, next weekend.

In the morning, the place is covered with Korean fishermen and fisherwomen, who like to wee on the rocks, but they usually start to leave in the early afternoon, so, I reckon we should meet about 1pm on Saturday. That will give us about 6 hours of daylight. Then we can camp and get on some more routes in the morning. There's a min bak for pussies.

There's about 6kms of boulders and fresh trad routes, so bring pads, ropes and trad gear. This stuff ranges from really, really easy to quite very hard, so there's something for all persuasions.

Anybody wants to stay at my house on Friday, you're more than welcome, but I do snore. Otherwise, get the subway to kyungsung university, then get in a taxi and say Igidae Minbak.

It looks like heavy rain on Saturday, so I don't think we'll be going out until Sunday morning. If anybody still wants to come, I'll be at Igidae Minbak at 10am.

At least the rain will clear away the fisherman stench.

oh ****! i'm going to bail on this weekend. i need to escape, become one with the mountain and get out of Busan. i guess when we do go to the island it really will be an adventure because i won't be checking it out ahead of time.

yeah the comment changed the weather got me thinking it's a good weekend to bail.

i def won't be there at the meet time on sunday, but i'll try to make it a little later. i'm pretty sure i can find you. you'll be where the land meets the sea right? if it's sand stone though we should be really careful because holds pop easier after rain on sand stone. those cracks should rock. i wish i brought my fat cams to korea now.

i am pretty new to climbing and busan, but i would definitely like to get involved. i will be there on sunday to check out.

The forecast is saying heavy rain for tomorrow, so I'm taking the executive decision to cancel.

Hopefully, I'll see you all next weekend for the island orgy. If, the island proves fruitless, we can come back and climb at Igidae.
