Seoul October 11 to 17, 2008
Dear KOTR members
Hello, this is Masa Onda.
I will be in Seoul from October 11 to 17 and if anyone of you are free and doesn't mind climbing with me, I would love to do any kinds of climbing such as bouldering, multipitch climbing, crack, and sport climbing.
My equipment is:
a 80m rope
a set of camalots
10 quick draws
a harness
ATC etc
Climbing area: Anywhere in or close to Seoul
From October 9th to 11th, I will stay at the following backpacker's hostel, so you might leave a message to contact me:
Name: Guesthouse Korea Jungno branch
Phone #: 82-2-3675-2205
I will be in the mountains until October 8th, so I might not be able to check my KOTR account till then. I will definitely check it once I have an access to the internet though.
I am looking forward to any replies from you all.
Best Regards
Masa Onda

I have my day off on Oct. 14th, I'm really down for climbing Insubong. Let's do multi-pitch climbing there together, just meet at Insubong 백운산장 around 10am Oct. 14th. It's been almost 13 years since last time I climbed there, super duper want to go for it again. Please make time for me on Oct. 14th Masa!

Keepin' it real!
Howdy folks,
The weather is perfect for some granite trad climbing! I want to climb at Insubong this Saturday October 11th, or Sunday October 12, or both. I have a full rack, a 60 meter rope, and stoke!
Send me a message.
Alec
p.s. I met Masa at Seoraksan.

Many thanks for your reply
Dear All
Many thanks for replying to my posting. Even though I haven't got a permission to camp at the Insubong this weekend yet, I am likely to get it by the end of today (My friend on the Suwan cilmbing team is helping me by the noon of tomorrow).
Anyways, I will be at the Insubong this weekend. I would like to go to Multipitch cilmbing on Saturday and to go bouldering on Sunday, but I assume that some of the KOTR climbers coming to the Insubong don't have gear for multipitch trad climbing. In such a case, I will lend my trad gear to some of them and go bouldering instead. I can climb anytime next week so no worries
So far, the climbers would might come are:
Jessica's friend (Kien), Jessica, Ethan, Littledegit, Me, and you. As I don't have a cellphone, it is a good idea if you keep the phone numbers of them to contact each other.
I will post the definite schedule tomorrow by 10pm, so please have a look at it.
I am looking forward to climbing with you all.
Masa

Masa you rock!
As we talked about before, I can't go this weekend because I'm going to Seonunsan (again ), but if you want to climb next week during the week, let me know...
By the way, have you been to Ganhyeon? Would you be interested in going there next Thursday (Oct. 16th)? Or would you prefer bouldering? I would love to go bouldering too, so if you have a preference, let me know!
Take care, and have lots of fun this weekend!
Cheers,
Dee

Schedule of this weekend: 11th to 12th
Dear All
Hello, I am sorry to be late writing this mail.
I've got a permission to camp at the Insubong this weekend so anybody who would like to camp this weekend, could you please bring your camping/climbing equipment with you and meet me at the exit 3 of the Suyu station at 9:30 on Saturday October 11th?
As I said yesterday, I don't mind going bouldering this weekend so anybody can use my trad gear if you don't have them. Please bring what you think are necessary for this weekend
I am looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
Best Regards
Masa (Masayuki Onda)

Schedule for October 16th
Dear Dangerousflower
Many thanks for your suggestion. I would love to go bouldering with you on October 16th if you don't mind. I would stay at the same back packers hostel from 15 to 17th so please give them a ring and leave a message if it is necessary. Here is the phone number:
Name: Guesthouse Korea Jungno branch
Phone #: 82-2-3675-2205
I will camp at the Insubong up to 15th from tomorrow, so you might not be able to get a hold of me. Could you please designate the time and the place where we should get together on Thursday?
I am looking forward to receiving your reply. Have a good weekend.
Best Regards
Masayuki Onda
P.S. Cannyon sounds good. I must go there before leaving Korea...

Okay Masa! You decide what we do on the 16th!
If you want to go bouldering, meet me at Yeonnsinnae subway station (it's a transfer station near the northern ends of subway lines 3 and 6) at 0900h! I have a pad, and it sounds like others will be joining us if we go.
If you would rather sport climb at Ganhyeon, meet me at Cheongnyangni train station (just outside of Cheongnyangni subway station) at 0645h. Do you have a rope or draws, or should I bring all of that?
You can phone me late on the 15th if you have to.
Hope you are having an awesome (and safe!) time on Insubong!
Cheers!
Dee
P.S. - Anyone else is also welcome to join us...just let me know, so I can look for you at the station!
