Directions to Jangsudae?

I know that Greg posted information on how to get to the area but am not sure if that beta is up to date. If you have traveled from Seoul to Jangsudae, just outside of Sokcho, recently and could provide costs and a schedule that would be uber cool!

I know this is kind of cheating, but when I can't figure out the Korean transportation websites, I call 1330 (the English tourist information line) and ask them : ) They will tell you ticket prices, what time the bus/train leaves, how long it takes to get there, etc.

corey, is that on the south side of soraksan? (directions to "go rak"/jungsudae) if so, i tried that last fall and the road was still under construction from the floods (sonia had a post about it). i imagine that the construction is complete by now but even if it's not "they" may say that it's open. you may want to double check. even if it's "not open", after bus drops you off you'll still be able to hike less than 2 km to the infamous campground that keith and mel raved about (before the floods).

The road is finished. Kris and I were up there a few weeks ago and almost all the construction is done. The begining of the trail to Go rak seems to have been obscured... it might take a bit of searching if you haven't been there, so you probably want to get there during daylight if it's your first time.
