Everyone’s invited to the Sports Climbing Competition at Korea Polytechnic University!

All foreigners, though not official participants, are allowed to compete. Though they are not eligible for official cash prizes, those who enter among first five in each category will receive a prize.

Dates of the competition: September, 1 – 2, 2007
Location: Korea Polytechnic University campus, sports climbing wall
Sponsors: Mogem, Forest System
Maximum number of participants (Male, Female): 80 people
There are two categories: male and female
The main events are On-site Leading competition and Speed competition
Regulations: regulations for On-site Leading and Speed sports climbing competitions of Korean Alpine Federation based on the regulations for sports climbing competitions of IFSC.
The order of competitors will be announced on the day of competition.
Bring your climbing shoes, harness, chalk bag and ID.
Application: until August, 27, 2007. You have to fill in the application form (available at Announcements page of Korea Polytechnic University website: http://www.kpu.ac.kr/contents/main/cor/allnotice.html, announcement No.1411) and the entry fee.

09:00 ~ 11:00 : On-site Leading and Speed competition preliminaries
11:00 ~ 12:00 : Opening Ceremony
12:00 ~ 19:00 : On-site Leading and Speed competition preliminaries

September, 2 (Sun)
08:00 ~ 09:00 : finalists enter isolation room
09:00 ~ 15:00 : On-site Leading and Speed Competition Finals
15:00 ~ 16:00 : Award and Closing Ceremony
