KOTR is looking for a new owner. Are you a developer, a climber and have plans to stay in Korea for a while? If so, email me at [email protected]

Changwon Climbing Center 창원 클라이밍센터, 055-276-5832, 창원시 대원동is in Daewon-dong. . . and while I have no listings for climbing on real rock in the city (if anything has been developed, the local gym will know), anything in Masan, Pusan, South Gyeongsangnam-do will be in your range for easy travel. I'll be in Jinju when you first get in. . . traveling a bit in the region on the weekends.

The gym (창원 클라이밍센터) near to Home Plus(tesco) is open monday - friday 6pm to 11pm.
admission fee is 50,000won a month
Another one is located in the inside of Masan sports complex 5th floor in which you'll get a key of the gym when you become a member.
admission fee is 20,000 won a month. (055-255-6874)
Nothing new routes have been developed so far as I know. I believe two small crags you can climb in Changwon and Masan, which I climbed just once about 17 years ago... No More after then... , however, lots of rocks in the vicinity of Changwon.

Mathieu lives in Jeonju?? Seriously? Wonder how I missed that... Mathieu, give me a call sometime (I will be back in Korea on the 16th) and I will show you the brand new super big outdoor climbing wall easily accessible by bus!

I'll be climbing at Mucheksan this weekend, not far from Busan, Gimhae, Masan, etc. . . I can do a pick-up from Gimhae bus terminal (or Jinju. . .Changwon, Masan. . .gotta kinda go thru all of 'em) Planning to leave here early Sat. . .return Sun PM
If you're just arriving Sun. . . you can still make it out. . . if you need public transport details and want to join then, let me know and I'll try to find out for you. . . Philipp, I hope to get to Germany/Austria in October-- meanwhile, I'll be done with teaching in less than 2 weeks-- then it's only road-tripping and working on the climbing guidebook. . .
