KOTR is looking for a new owner. Are you a developer, a climber and have plans to stay in Korea for a while? If so, email me at [email protected]

Hello all, I just completed a beginners rock climbing course this weekend, and I kinda have the basics down. I am really eager to learn more and climb more, so I'm really keen to meet up with you guys sometime. As much as I would like to meet this weekend coming up, I have a prior engagement. If its okay, maybe I could meet up the next time you organise a climb. Im the meantime, I would like to buy my own gear. If you guys have some time, could you tell me where the best place to buy is. I know I need shoes, a harness and a chalk bag. Should I consider any other equipment? I would appreciate any help that you could give me. Thank you. Tom

Not sure...
Hey everyone,
So I was all excited to come climbing this weekend and introduce it to my boyfriend, but now he has to work all weekend and I am not sure if I should still join!
So here's how it looks: I have my own harness, and probably a ride down from Bones on Friday but other than that, nothing.
Sleeping arrangements, food, a ride home, the rest of the gear would all have to be borrowed/etc.
So what does everyone think? Is it worth it or should I join again on another trip?

Jeska. . . Tom. . . y'all should all come! I think we could all try to be sure y'all don't freeze, starve or have a bad time! As you live in Seoul you could maybe find cheese or tequilla and then all would be great!
I think my extra sleeping bags are called for (maybe Bones has one as his wife is not coming) or I can bring lots of extra blankets, mats, and we'll pack a bunch of people in my tent and we will all cuddle with you!! (or there may be people who will get a room/minbak). . . but come anyway. . . after all, you came to Korea for adventure, right?!

Again, is anyone coming back on Saturday? I have to work early on Monday and I don't want to be back in Seoul late on Sunday

Has anyone been able to inform the local climbers that we are coming? Jake mentioned that this might be a good common courtesy. I know we are all trying our best to maintain good relationships, so this would be a nice gesture.

Yeah. . . military (loud!) planes flying over Suncheon this afternoon. . . is there something I should know about?
Jeska. . . Sat night is social. . . but you could get back Sunday early. Shouldn't be problem getting transport at that time.
