Chuncheon Sport Climbing World Cup

Hey folks,

Came across this today. Looks like a Sports Climbing World Cup event is going to be held in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do at the end of August (28th-29th).

I like big jugs!

Here are the details:

28th August (Sat) 10:30 - 17:30 Lead qualification (Men/Women)
29th 12:00 - 13:00 Speed Qualification (M/W)
14:00 - 18:00 Lead Semi-Finals (M/W)
30th 10:00 - 11:30 Speed Finals
15:00 - 18:00 Lead Finals

Prize Money for all events is 2800 Euros for the winner (me). 1700 for 2nd and 1000 for third. For some reason men and women get the same prize money, even though men climb much harder and faster.

There will also be Korean bouldering championships, but details are yet to be published.

Do you need my assistance?

Eui Am Am Jang and Chuncle Ridge are about 3km up the road from the sports town. Plenty of climbing and room for a few tents, but no facilities.
