New Crag, Seoul. Sunday Apr 19

Okay, the new crag I'm referring to is the same one that TLayne posted about a couple of weeks ago. It's very close to Sanggye station in northern Seoul. The crag is mostly slab. I'm not a huge fan of slab but I had a lot of fun when I went to this place. Very close to the bolted slab routes, there's tons of bouldering potential that I'd like to investigate. Also, there are a couple of hand/finger cracks that I want to lead on trad.

It should be a full day of royal nonsuch!

And yes, it will probably be crowded since it's Sunday but there's alway a few unoccupied routes and there's a whole other set of bolted routes close by that I haven't seen yet.

I'm thinking we meet an Sanggye station 10ish...

Gabe,

Do you know if Layne actually posted this on the website. I looked but couldn't find it. I will be honest I didn't look hard?

Have fun on Sunday the wife and I are climbing down South this weekend.

I'm pretty sure he didn't. A Korean climber told me the name of the crag is Hakdo. I'm going to take a lot of pictures this sunday and work on putting this place in the database. Have fun at Pokpo Dave, and I'll see you and Sofia at the M&G.

Yeah, I'll post some pics. But you should come with us.

Lots of large boulders on the descent trail. All granite and they appear to be more featured than the stuff at the riverbeds but not as worn down as the Insubong boulders. On my way out, a couple of weeks ago, I saw at least three really good looking lines...

That was from just glancing over my shoulder. I think this place has a lot to offer.

Holy Shoot, that's awesome. Thank you. I'll take you up on the Riverbeds offer some other weekend.

Yes, people, these pictures:
http://blog.naver.com/kimsj7437?Redi...No=20061448553
are of the main crag. But, there's also another bolted crag besides this one and an unbolted set of finger/hand cracks that I've been dreaming about leading. Not to mention all the yummy boulders!

I think four people are going so far but the more the merrier! So post up if you want to go.
