Ice climbing 2nd-10th Feb

I'm interested in some ice climbing. I'm flying from Hong Kong to Seoul on 2nd Feb and back to Hong Kong on 10 Feb. Are you available or anyone around to climb some ice? I've got all the personal winter gear such as axes, crampons, harness, helmet but no ice screws. And I don't know Korea or Korean at all. I can lead about WI4 in Norway or Scottish grade V last season. Good number of years of Scottish winter experience and some low grade Alpine routes (up to AD) in the Alps and a week of water ice in Norway last sesaon. I can climb rock as well though I'd rather concentrate on ice on this trip. Never say no to a day on rock somewhere in Korea though.

At the moment, I haven't booked anywhere to stay in particular apart from the first night and last night in Seoul. I'm pretty flexible as where to go. Someone with a floor space would be appreciated. Of course, some contribution can be accommodated.

I've got a British mobile number to use while in Korea if you need to get in touch (+44 7810 833179). Or before flying off, my Hong Kong mobile phone number is +852 6924 0302 or simply e-mail: [email protected]otmail.com

Awesome, I sent you a PM! You're welcome to stay at my apartment in Jeonju for the days ice climbing at Yeong Dong (it's 2 hours away via public transport, not too bad), or if you bring a warm sleeping bag I have a tent for the sandy riverbank at Yeong Dong!

I accept contributions in the form of washing dishes. Taking out the trash is always a good one too. Hope you have a good flight, call when you arrive~

PS Everyone else is invited too Ice climbing is fun! Winter is awesome!

Washing dishes? Funny enough, I used to do that for a living for a little while. So I'm well trained. Will contact you when I get to Korea on Monday.

You know I'm in too! Tuesday 3rd night-time I'll be busy, but otherwise lets swing tools at the Y!
