Probably, another tip for birthday & birthday party in Korea.
Yesterday was my birthday on the solar calender, but most Korean celebrate a person's birthday on the lunar calender so that I'm supposed to celebrate my birthday party on Jan. 11. 2009, however, I wnat to express thanks to those who sent me e-mail of happy birthday. Not like westerns do, in Korea the one who is on birthday should throw a birthday part for friends, if any of you can remember my real birthday until next year, just come to me with empty hands then
How to say happy birthday in Korea?
(It goes with 생일 축하 합니다.= congratulations on you birthday! quite different right?) I do not think you guys say congratulations on birthday.
Anyway, I can't believe I'm rushing towards in my mid 50
True!!! time goes faster as we get older...
Thanks again for sending me many e-mail of happy birthday.
