Unimd 2010

The time is here again. Time for the KMPL's United Nations International Mountain Day seminar.

This is an open event, so all hands are more than welcome. Please come by and hear presentations from some of the biggest brains in Korea's mountain community. KOTR's very own Jake Preston will be gracing the stage of Kyung Hee University's College of Sciences for a presentation, so you all have to come and show him some support. He gets nervous up there, ya know.

Briefly, the seminar will be on Saturday, December 11 starting with a walk around Kyung Hee University's Museum of Natural History. The presentations will begin at 2:00.

Here are all the details:

Come along and invite all your friends!

See you there!

Tomorrow is the big day. I'd like to note that there's been a subtraction and an addition to the roster of speakers:

Sadly, Jake can't join us again this year. Hope we can hook up in the New Year, Jake.

In addition, James Hooper, a Fellow of the National Geographic Society, recipient of the Adventurer of the Year Award, one of the youngest Brits to summit Everest and an antarctic explorer who crossed that frigid continent in 2009 through means unmotorized, will be giving a lecture.

I hope to see everyone there to celebrate the ecology, culture, and recreation of our beloved highlands.
