OK dudes here's the deal.

You love to ski/ board and wanna hit the slopes asap and as cheaply as you can, right? Well if you are in the central/ southern belt (Daegu-Cheonan-Jeonju-Daejeon-Cheongyang-Ulsan) then Muju might be your best bet. It;'s a big resort with a fair range of runs, including the 6.1km long "Silk Road" (Blue intermediate). Cyber season passes (you need to register - free) get you big discounts at Muju Ski Resort.

KA and I are getting the weekday (no hols, no weekends) pass. As cyber members (사이버회원권) we pay a very decent 460,000won each which also gives us 30% discounts on rentals and sauna etc.
Problem for foreigners is that to register you must do soat Muju Resort in person (unlike Koreans who can do it via the web) because the stupid foreigner rego card numbers are not recognized by any data-base. I get the same issue trying to make a bank account, log in to Korean web-sites, use govt services, set up cell-phone accounts etc etc Apparently the Korean Immigration Service is aware of this issue and wrking on getting our numbers incorporated

...but till til then...in person I'm afraid. Oh and you need to present a 4cm x 5cm photo for the ID also.
