I am a climber in Gwangju teaching English. I've got a full rack for trad and/or sport climbing. I climb up to 5.12 sport or 5.7/8 trad. More experience with sport. I've got a rope and I want to tear it up in Korea, esp. the Gwanju area crags!
Hi! I live by Maisan, which is two hours from Gwangju, but hope/plan to move to Jeonju in August (1 hour 20 minutes from Gwangju). So we're basically neighbors. Anyway there are LOTS of great climbing areas in this vicinity, so you will have many options!
There are a few of us ladies here in Mokpo who also climb, we are about an hour and a 1/2 bus ride away from Gwangju. I am game to climb every weekend.

I've been working at a climbing gym for a year now, owned by my dad and climbing every weekend at the Gunks, so i'm in a bit of withdrawl and my forearms are shrivelling as I type! hey, i live an hour or so north of you and there's a lot of climbing in our area! i'm not sure of my schedule for the next few weeks but there's been talk of hitting up seonunsan soon (possibly on 14/15) which will definately get your pump on.

Dude!!!! You're like 40 minutes from Sununsan now, with the new highway; and there are 3 clubs in Kwangju + an outdoor climbing wall. I can hook you up with some Korean climbers if you like.
