Meet and Greet Date Poll
Originally posted by shanja:
Here it is. Vote for a date or dates that would swing for you. As ever, multiple date selection is possible and encouraged. I'm only listing the dates as Sat and Sun, but if you can turn up on the Fri, or stay on during the Mon, well good for you. Please vote, please tell others to vote. No complaining if you don't like the dates the majority selected (especially if you didn't vote).
A seperate poll might get posted for the venue. That's a mute point here. Check with your bosses, partners, schedulers, schools, officers, wardens mum and dad (who-ever) to figure out when you will be free, and when you have other plans or committments. Vote.

If you do have it on the first weekend of April, how about going to Jinju for Alejandro's Mexican Fiesta. Home made Quesadillas and Fajita's with Tiramisu (I know that is not Mexican). There is also a vegeterain platter. A pinata with prizes.

1. is there any climbing near jinju with camping that can support 40 people?
2. if you're promoting the 1st weekend in April, why did you vote or the 2nd weekend?

Amanda and I were going to suggest a karma yoga approach to M&G logistics this year: everyone would sign up for a specific task or two, including grocery shopping (base, COSTCO, local markets, and then we all could chip in for cost), money hound to collect cash, dinner food prep, dinner cooking, dinner clean up (different people could do breakfast), wood gathering and campfire management, coffee and tea making, campsite cleanup on Sunday, etc. The idea behind it is that it would more evenly distribute the "work load" so everyone would get a chance to help AND socialize. Idea courtesy of Trivandrum's Sivananda yoga ashram.

I second Nic's proposal. But this would mean that people MUST be dedicated to coming once you say you are and you have volunteered for a task. No backing out on Friday evening because you think it will be too chilly and then leaving the rest of us to wrap our burritos with leaves since you didn't show with tortillas! I'm not being anal retentive, but I'm just thinking of last fall's rainy M&G. Everything ended up being wonderful, but alot of people backed out pretty late in the game.
