Meet and Greet Date Poll

Hmmm, yeah it's always hard to guarantee 100% that one will show up, but committments to do certain tasks should be taken seriously. Weather is always an unknown that can throw the cat amongst the pidgeons, but as long as we have a basic plan of who is gonna do what/ bring what we can get by OK.
Let's set up a seperate thread to track who will cook/ bring what, and firstly agree what basic menus we are looking at. I'll bring a few collapsible trestle type tables to serve/ cook/ prep off.
Maybe we should also set up a poll on where, but maybe everyone should get out now the weather is warming up and inspect a few of the different options. Campfires are sweet, but let's check if they will be legal at the locale and at the time. Police yelled at us a few weeks back in Ganhyeon about this. Maybe we can get permits? Also if we are gonna have a campfire, those with cars might consider bringing in (some) firewood supplies rather than stripping the surrounding areas. I volunteer here. Many construction sites will let you take away old off cuts etc.

Sorry for the delay in response.

1. No there is no place for rock climbing in Jinju. Jirisan for hiking and every other place for rock climbing around Jinju, but not in Jinju.

2. Why I voted for the other way. I wanted to do both and that is why I decided to vote for the following Saturday. And now I am thinking moving it to May to coincide a little better with Cinco de Mayo. But I will be in Thailand after the third.

If we take the "karma yoga" approach, the only things that need to be assigned ahead of time would be grocery shopping. The rest can be divided up at the camp ground.

Hey folks - I'm pretty new to KOTR but I've been keeping an eye on these M&G threads... I'm really interested in attending but I'm a little overwhelmed by all the stuff going on. From the polls it sure looks like April 5-6 - has this been made official? Also location - when will it be for sure?

I'm in Daejeon so if there's anybody out there in Daejeon I'd really appreciate any more information, as well as the possibility of shared transportation! Please reply or send me an email

sudden conflict of interest... as votes are (relatively) evenly divided between the 5/6 and the 12/13, any chance it could be on the 12/13? I've recently learned that there's a big ultimate frisbee tournament in Busan on the 5/6 that I also want to go to!

OK it probably is time for a where poll...has anyone got a serious alternative to Seonunsan/ Ganhyeon?
So far Ulsan's Musunsan Busan's Geumjongsan and Jinnan's Maisan have been proposed tentatively - but questions about their facilities exist (maybe they can be laid to rest - I'm not trying to be prejudiced against them).
If we are gonna have a poll we need concrete places on that poll as choices to vote for.
Maggie, I dunno how others feel, but if the two weekends are neck and neck in popularity, and share many voters, maybe it could be 12-13th...but if there is still a significant preference for 5-6th...it might have to stay.
