Ack noooooo!!!!! I can't come after all!!! I had a big misunderstanding with my Korean friends - earlier I had told them I couldn't join them at Ulsanbawi in Seoraksan because I had that stupid mandatory dinner thing in Seoul.
Later he said it was okay, we would leave as soon as I finished dinner, but I said I now I had plans to go to a going away party in Ganhyeon on Sunday, and he kept saying "Ok, after party end" and I kept saying "Yeah, I'll hang out for a while and say goodbye to everyone" and it turns out we were talking about two different things (which is ironic, because the dinner tonight is the antithesis of a party...)
The guy organizing the trip is my "삼촌" (uncle) who always does ridiculous things to help me out - for example, I had asked if he could possibly pick me up at Seoul Express bus terminal, and instead he insisted on driving from Ilsan to Jeonju (and back!! 8 hours total!) yesterday to help me move out of my apartment. We've planned to do this climb three times but had heavy rains in August and October and in May the park was closed due to wildfire danger.
Everything's ready to go, they've bought all the food, decided who is carrying what, everyone is meeting at Hongjae station tonight at 9:30 pm, and I just can't say no now...
I'm so sorry everyone!!! I wish I could see you guys one more time

You'll all have to come visit me in the US (Washington state or anywhere nearby-ish, including Canada). Even if I haven't met you, we have the Climbing-in-Korea connection, so you're more than welcome to crash on my couch for a week or two!
Once again, I'm really sorry I can't make it, I'll miss you guys!!
