Thanks to everyone for joining in and offering your remarkable powers of help! Like I said in private to Bryan we need to think about a charter of action/ ethics for ourselves too (well maybe), as a sort of mission statement and guide to keep us honest and on track. Hopefully we can also get a few Korean members aboard too.

I want to know who this "Vacant" guy is and why he gets to head up so many different areas.

I'd love to represent Jeollabuk-do! We are a bit odd out here, politics and all. . .but, um. . . I've been here a bit . . . know some of the local climbers. . .

might also be nice to have a Korean member of the council. . . an at-large if no-one steps into a regional?

I've spoken with a few already here in the local Daegu area...both are really interested in helping and would love to volunteer their time. But they are a bit intimidated by the idea of having to make decisions and keep up with all of the forum strings. I'm hoping to talk with some others soon. At minimum, if we could at least create a list of contacts and local folks in each region who are willing to help. Kind of like Liasons for each region, then we wouldn't have to involve them with decisions made for other regions, but we could consult them when questions arise for their relevant areas or specialties.

Although I now live outside of Jeollado, I am still ready to represent its efforts. Yeongso is still my homecrag no matter where I am in Korea. I still have a lot of contacts at my old korean climbing gym that I can contact in regards to our efforts there with the new toilet. Let me know what information you need me to get as well as a possible loose time frame of our initiative's execution. When Uncle Will held the Pretzl Frock, he had posters made, stickers, and goodie bags - the whole thing just had an air of casual order and purpose. I think that in order to stir some excitement, some posters could be made to get Korean climbers aware of our efforts and to chip in if they want. I am thinking that posting these posters in our gyms and passing out information in English/Korean would do wonders for showing that this isn't a half hearted effort or ragtag group of people attempting to add a third plank to the shitter of death. I myself am fairly technologically and artistically challenged, but I know there are many of you out there with serious gifts in this arena. Let's get the ball rolling on this!
