Yangshuo, China for Christmas!

Hey everyone, I booked a ticket to Yangshuo, China for Christmas break (24-31) I am looking for some information about the area (where to stay, transportation, and other tips) as well as wondering if anyone else is headed there for the break?

the lizard lounge was very helpful in figuring out the local transportation. beware, the microbuses stop running at a certain time so you might find yourself walking or hitchhiking back...or just rent a bike.
there's an atm and a bank on the main strip for your financial needs.
there's a great massage school (sans happy endings) on the canal to sooth your aches.
food and lodging options abound!
