This is great to see so many people voting! Looks like two dates are pretty much neck and neck, so it may well be that 2 M&G's happen two weeks apart....and why not? No one weekend ever works for all and look at last weekend....it wasn't a M&G but by fortune 40 people turned up! Try and remember to bring a Korean climber friend (or at least invite them to join in) too, and help out any newbies or gear-challenged comrades with loans, belays and advice.

I just joined the site and I am a new climber. I recently climbed for the first time while on vacation at Railay beach in Thailand. I met some great people there and they mentioned this website. I would like to come to the meetup, what will I definitely need? I have no gear, does anyone have anything I can borrow? How much does it cost to buy the essentials?
Looking forward to meeting some of you guys in the near future!
Also, I live in Busan, so if there are any climbers in this area that wouldn't mind taking a newbie out it would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Drew welcome to KOTR - Busan is a really cool place to get into climbing, and good crew there.
Bryan, the poll closes on 26th Sept, and the Oct 16-8th weekend is looking to be the MOST popular weekend thus far...but the Chuseok weekend Oct 2-4 is also very popular. So it may be kinda double staged on those weekends. It's unlikley any other date will overrtake those two. Chuseok lets more people have the full 3 days, but travelling on Chuseok is a nightmare and the crag might well be super packed. So we'll see what happens...

i just voted for august in hopes that we can all travel back in time together. i swear, i'll try to make this one. i've already missed three of them thar m&g thangs.

Aside from Chuseok any of the dates in October suit me fine.

seriously, every year i strongly advocated against chuseok weekend for M&G's so i completely understand. would have been fun but alas, it's not in the cards
