Maisan 4-5 Oct

Can't hurt to share a yurt.

There will be four of us (myself, Christine, Dale, and Kassandra) converging on Maisan mid-day Saturday. We'd originally planned on staying in a minbak, but now that a campfire, tents-for-rent, and a ... yurt have all entered the picture, the minbak idea's fallen to a distant second place.

That said, keep us in mind if you find yourself short of yurt-roomies come Saturday - we'll gladly share the space.

I'm so sorry, I haven't checked KOTR in forever. Here are the bus times from Jinan to Maisan Tapsa: 9:30, 1:55, and 5:00. You can also take the bus to Maryeong (마령) and just tell the bus driver Maisan Tapsa Ibgu (마이산 탚사 입구). Sometimes the bus doesn't want to stop cuz they think you are a confused foreigner who is actually trying to go to Jeonju, so you really have to flag it down. Buses from Jeonju to Jinan leave every 20 minutes or so from the she-way (시외) terminal. A taxi ride from the train station to she-way terminal is 3,000 or 4,000. Wish I could join you all, sorry this info is so late!!

I wish I could join you at Maisan, well.. my work schedules do not allow. I called you coupla times to say good bye but couldn't reach. I was thinking we could be nice friends to each other if we could get to have more chances to hang around here in Korea, however, things happen!!! Good luck my friend!
