Gangneung: The best kept secret in Korea

hey, if anyone is looking for work, my university is hiring right now. we live 10 minutes from the beach, 1 hour from yangpyeong ski resort, 1 hour north of byeong pung am (aka mureung valley), 1 hour south of seoraksan/jungsudae area, and just under 2 hours from ganhyeon. if that's not enough, they are putting up a new outdoor wall in our city on the back side of the gangwon fc soccer stadium (will be posting pics soon), to be completed mid-december '09.
i would really love to have some other guys around here to climb with. for more info about the city, you can also check out "peeps in gangneung" on facebook.

Hey Dusty. Are you still in the Gangneung area? My boyfriend and I just moved here and would love to get back into climbing and get introduced to the climbing community in the area.

Hey will,
Thanks for getting in touch with me. I heard that there was a group of climbers in Sokcho...
To be honest, I haven't climbed in a while... I fractured my heel climbing and had surgery on it about 7 months ago, but have yet to climb again. I injured my foot climbing trad, which I prefer, but I'm interestd in doing anything (perhaps sport or bouldering) just to get strong again. My boyfriend has not climbed very much but he's excited to get into it.
What do you do? I hear there's a lot of bouldering up there...
we were actually thinking of going up to Sokcho this weekend (maybe saturday), although I don't know what the weather is supposed to be like.
I look forward to hearing from you!
cheers
Jenny
