KOTR is looking for a new owner. Are you a developer, a climber and have plans to stay in Korea for a while? If so, email me at [email protected]

Reel Rock Tour Free Places To Stay
Don't forget, this isn't just about the REEL ROCK FILM TOUR. Even if you can't make it, it's the duty of every person who clips bolts (even if only once a year) in this country to support crag maintenance and re-bolting efforts. So even if you can't make it send in your 10,000 won MINIMUM and stop thinking of excuses. Most of us don't think twice about a gym usage fee, so why wouldn't you drop 10,000 or more to help these guys out?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For you out of towners, there's plenty of kind folks willing to offer up their places the weekend of the REEL ROCK FILM TOUR / KOTR FUND RAISER.
I'll just start this thread with two places for climbers to crash.
Theresa is offering up her place, but it may already be filling up.
I'm also offering up my place, and can sleep seven comfortably.
Both of those apartments are bye Gireum, which is only a couple stops away from the event.
People are welcome to crash Friday night and Saturday night. This would allow you to go to one of many climbing areas or gyms during the day before the event.

OK, Theresa and I have full floors. (I'm counting a few of you out of towners that I know about already.) If some other folks with nice warm floors can post up here that would be great, but if not you can always bivy on the mountain.

We have 6 folks from Suwon, WillPower, Bryan +3 and CheolYoung. Total, 14 including Jason and I split between two apartments. Is there anyone else that can offer up some floorspace this weekend? I think we're booked.

This is the most amazing and powerfully positive message I think ANY foreign-centred group has ever come up with here in Korea (short of the UN in 1949-52). Not to blow our own horn or preach to the converted, but this will I believe really cement KOTR and foreigners generally as being "givers" to the KOrean community and especially to the climbing scene.
If you don't know, super huge efforts on this have been given and sweated out like blood, from a few individuals who are way to modest to name themselves. I however, have no such compunctions so they are:
Bryan Hylenski (and Shauna Hylenski).
Theresa Mowat
Jason Mehl
Les Timmermans
Kim Sujin-Timmermans
Danielle Arsenault
Seon Hwa-shim (Sunny)
Jo Han-ik
Ryu Dong-il
And there's been a few other dear folks I've forgotten here, who also really made this happen, stepped up, took the bull by the horns and the tiger by the tail, diving in at the deep end where Angels fear to tread and just got it done. From all of the rest of us, and the climbing scene nationally, thanks a million.
If you can, but don't attend this, you're a goose. It's for the good of our love (climbing) and there are awesome movies, great prizes, kick-bum music shows and all kinds of good things going on.
Get involved, get there, get it on!
