Rock Climbing Books
Could anyone recommend a good instructional rock climbing book for a beginner?

Hi pjbyrne14,

'Mountaineering: The Freedom of the Hills' and 'The Rock warriors way' by Arno Ilgner.

Will covers the basics, classics for sure! Arno (who has been on KOTR to answer our questions) has a sequel out, Espresso Lessons. For basics on sport climbing and training, Betty and the Silver Spider is a comic book written by the late, great Craig Luebben.

Thanks everyone! I am going to order "The Freedom of The Hills" as it sounds like it might be just what I am looking for.

'Mountaineering: The Freedom of the Hills'- Pretty much everything you need to know about being in the mountains is in that book. Happy reading.
