Camping in Yeosu?

I leave for vacation next week, but this weekend I was wondering if anyone would be interested in some camping down here in the south. I'm trying to get a line on some sea kayaks or canoes, but failing that I know a great jumping-off point with at least one 무인도 (uninhabited island) within easy swimming distance (maybe 300m).

So -- anyone in?

Sorry man, I'm gonna be there the weekend of the 11th. My little brother comes into town on the 7th for a couple of weeks and I want to take him down to Yeosu. I have a few people from up here that want to head to Pusan this weekend.

I'll see if I can sway them into Yeosu cause I have absolutely no problem hitting it up 2 weeks in a row. Not to mention that uninhabited island sounds freakin awesome. We could all be castaways for the weekend.

It would seriously be fun. I got a line on rowboats -- rowboat rental for a day is 30-40,000k. We could get a few rowboats (depending on how many people we have) and take them to one of the southern jumping-off points and head out for camping!

I'll be gone from August 11-September 1, though. Time for some country-hopping!

Dude we might be up for it. I think we are hoping to go and climb at Yongseo pokpo (Gurye) this Wed-Fri-ish and then a short hop down to Yeosu would be perfect! I'll hit you back with confirmation later today. Sounds sweet as. Thanks.

OK Brandon we are heading to Yongseo Pokpo tomorrow morning and staying there to climb for a few days...if you wanna join us that'd be awesome, if you are working, when is a good time for us to roll up? Fri night? Sat? Anytime? We'll be packing a FULL wagon of car camping gear or if there's a good cheap minbak that might swing too. my cell is 010-6488-8744 if you need to call me after tomorrow am. Be great to see you guys again too! Boats sound sweet! Can KA get a life vest thingy? She isn't a strong swimmer yet.

I'm working, yeah. Friday night would be fine -- maybe climb on Saturday and pick up the boat for camping Saturday evening? If we can figure out how to strap the rowboat onto the car I know an awesome jumping-off point.

I'm sure life vests abound; if not, we can find one for her at a swim shop.

OH! I forgot -- does anyone have access to loose chalk? I'm very nearly out of chalk and really need some more for climbing and lifting. I've looked extensively in Yeosu and went to several shops in Busan when I was there last weekend, but I couldn't find anything.

I'm looking specifically for loose chalk. . . if you can bring some, I'll make it worth your time! :)
