Thanks to those who came down to Yeosu! I know Yeosu is way off the beaten path for most of you, so I'm really quite pleased that the 15 or so of you who came down did so.

Saturday the climbing was sketchy; the weather was a bit drizzly and the routes not the best, but the barbecue at the end was awesome.

Sunday the weather was fantastic, and it was great fun playing Frisbee in the surf. Sonia's "twenty-minute approach" to Horangsan was about twice that, however, but the climbing revealed some truly spectacular views that are really only possible down here. Ganhyeon's great and all, but you sure as hell can't see rice paddies and islands!

Everyone is, of course, welcome to head down here any time. I'd be happy to organize some more trips (especially if I can find more bolted routes), and the beach camping is always nice!

Did y'all go the most direct way, or are you saying I should change the post? Sorry to say I don't remember if I checked my "cell phone clock" (unlikely) or estimated (I haven't owned a watch in a decade?) . . . and my estimations are kinda all over the place. . .? or were y'all dragin?!

Let's see. . . we went to the right of the middle school and walked along the culvert for a bit, and then took a right and went straight up through the training grounds. Eventually we caught up with some steps that took us to another rocky trail to the climbing.

It took about 40 minutes, IIRC, and we were hiking pretty solidly.
