I am thinking of trying to head to Munsusan, near Ulsan for the upcoming week. If anyone is keen give me a post and we can try and co-ordinate the details.

By the way great Seeing Jenny, Karen, and Eric out on the rock again on Sat I'm still sore which is a good thing. Peace.

I would be game. I don't believe i have anything comming up. Plus payday is monday so i can set aside some coin. better to take bus or train? Still new to the ROK so don't know how to get around much. Any solo(able) climbs in that area?

I'd love to climb this weekend again, Mununsan sounds great. Hope to see everyone out again, should be good!

Hi All,
I am a little under the weather. The bastards kept coughing on me and finally succeeded in throwing something on me. I'm only a wee crook at the moment so hopefully things will come right by the this weekend.

P.S. The weather report calls for rain in Taejon, Taegu, adn Ulsan for Sat, I'll have to wait and see how things go.

I have been enjoying these weekend climbs while we have be lucky enough to get some decent weather.

I still fighting off a little cold but I am planing on coming down to Ulsan on Sunday a.m. I will try and get there around 9:00ish depending on when the bus leaves.
If you have some phone numbers I can reach you at on Sat I call and confirm, since I'll be needing a ride.
If it rains then we can scrap heading out there. But hopefully it won't, it's been threating but I checked the weather again and it calls for sunny on Say and part cloud on Sun.

Actually I am heading to Haeinsa on saturday to check out the Buddah scritures carved on wood. I hear it's a really cool sight and a friend of ours went last weekend while the trees still have color. I hope to get a few cool photos before the trees go bare. I checked the weather for Daegu, Daejon, and Ulsan and they all call for a.m. showers, if they are really light showers than it shouldn't crap on our holiday. I even check for Sununsa (rain).
HOWEVER, I would like to say, and Eric can support me on this it tends to dump a bit down near Ulsan and that would lend the place unclimable. If it just spits a little here but dumps there we can still find some place to climb. I will try and get ahold of some of the others. Let's talk and we will hit the rock some where DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was already planning on being at Munsusan on Saturday the 6th. I live about 15km from the mtn and will come back
on Sunday as well if the weather holds.

I'm at 010-9932-8878 should any of you folks need
anything when you get into town. I only have a motorcycle,
so rides might be tough with a pack full of gear.

I'm still fighting this damn cough but I'm gonna be there. I have also contacted a couple of climber from down in Ulsan that plan to come out to the rock so it looks like there will be some local talent out on the rock. Looks like The Fin and Marty will meet us down there. I'll give you a ring Jenny on Sat night around 6:00p.m. and I'll ring those guys in Ulsan and get a local weather check. Peace

Sorry guys not going to be able to make it i am also a bit under the weather i haven't even made it to the gym since wednesday. sorry hopefully we'll have some more nice weather and all of us will be feeling better.

Well, three of us made the brave trek up to Munsusan, but the staircase was probably the hardest thing climbed all day, we were pathetic, between three of us we managed to scramble up a simple 5.7. once each.

by not coming down you avoided a beautiful and half assed day.

now lets all pray for a cold snap and some ice...
