I was going through my gardening stuff, lots of pots and soils, but alas, I have no seeds. I checked out some local florists/e-mart, but so far the only herb I see is rosemary. I want basil, chives, maybe some mint (but not apple mint!!) parsley, oregano-- can you get seeds/starter plants on base? Has anyone found a good variety? Is it possible to buy organic seeds in Korea? With the weather so nice, I am anxious to get started, in fact, I am headding out on another search now!
Thanks in advance!

I'm no help, but would be interested to hear if you are able to find anything!
Mmm, pesto. And mojitos.

I was about to post the same questions because I WANT BASIL!!! Anyways, I don't know if you are interested in tomatoes, but I may have found some. Our new town is full of small farmers and I was told that on market days I could buy small tomato plants. I haven't gotten to go yet, but I will within the next week or two. Let me know if you want some. We finally have a small apt building with a huge roof and some land, so I FINALLY can have a garden again! Happy seed hunting!

I asked my mom to send basil seeds. A guy at work also "promised" me some. I have a few scraggly plants that survived a month on an unheated balcony with no care while I was in Thailand. If anything comes through by M&G I'll bring seeds and/or started plants (more or less depends on my transport). Meanwhile, I have 3 types of mint, rosemary and lavendar.
I just buy tomatoes here. . . my province grows them and they also have organically grown tomatoes for sale... it's an industry I feel we arre in a good position to support and I like to support local organic farmers when possible. (I also have a couple of "survivor" organic tomato plants from last year, but they've never produced fruit?!)
Anyhow, for more info on Korean organic farms and co-ops (mostly in Korean), check the links on my website (http://www.vegetariankorea.org)!
