OK, Spring cleaning time and all (anyone is welcome to come help me clean! I am getting rid of lots of stuff:) Possibly nothing anyone would want:(

Anyway, it's been awhile since this reminder came out: time to update or flesh out, for god's sake, your profile! You'd think that Deb still lives in Sancheong and Rick can't claw his way out of 5.9 (as an analyst, no less).

And for folks who are new to the site. maybe we want to go/live in your town. . . here, or in Canada, Russia, Zimbabwe. . . we may have met in Thailand last year, or Morrocco or Canada. Do you like sport, trad? Do you own a helmet? Vegetarian? Rastafarian? If you've been to the site more than twice and/or if you're in Korea, well, introduce yourself. With a Meet and Greet on the way (I don't know y'all, can a winter/spring M&G beat last summer/fall's 45?!), and a climbing season kicking off, come on "freedatingsite" or "mike" or viagra cheap online" let us know if you are real and who you are and join the community!

New people become old people really quickly. Just come out once. . . no worries if you are a beginner or a ropegun. . . any nationality, occupation, age, gender. . .

It's not a big commitment, but I think the photos and posts (how many now?) and the friendships (and more!?) and adventures that start and end here testify that it's worth the few minutes it takes to upload a photo and an avatar, a few sentence about where you're from and where you're going.

Oh, and since this thread sort of asks you to go to your profile rather than respond here, lets use this thread for your favorite KOTR story? When/where/how did you meet up? What was your best/worst adventure? What have you learned though Korea or climbing or both? When we read your story, we'll click on your profile. . . so update, update and post!!

I'm updated. Story to follow. It involves a ginormous sleepover, one talkative Korean, and one Avenue who wanted to go to sleep.

I'm not sure why Rick wants to hit gym...I don't know when gym ever hit Rick, but not to stray too far from the topic, I think Skinsk is right. KOTRers should at least put a pic and some personal details up.
I have Fridays free this semester Rick, so if you wanna hit some crags, or maybe even try falling up them together lemme know.

Jake...why do you want to hit Crag? Did he insult you?
Please don't make me jealous...I work on Fridays. Sonia's the one you want to talk to.
Oh, and I'll definitely practice falling up next time I hit Gym!!!

Yeah Jake, talk to me, though I have to work until 10:30 Fridays (more like 10:15). . . so I'll put you down for #3 (http://www.koreaontherocks.com/forums/t787-another-season.html)?

By the way, I'd appreciate it if you would take the time to fully read my new updated profile (http://www.koreaontherocks.com/forums/member.php?u=122).

Ok So I have tried to update my pic on my profile but can't get the pic I want to save to a size I can use. Sometimes I can be so computer illiterate.

Any sugestions computer smart people?

If you have MS Office 2003 (probably 2K and other versions too) try this...
-hold shift key down and right click image file
-select 'open with'
-select 'MS Office Picture Manager' (image will open in application)
-open 'Picture' menu and select 'Resize'
-Resize menu will open at right. I use the 'Percentage' option. It takes a bit of trial and error to reduce the file size without going too small.

****WARNING**** Be sure to 'File / Save As...' or you'll overwrite your original image. You must also Exit without saving.

for the semi-annual reminder

let us know who you are!? if you stumbled upon this site and regstered as a fluke, OK. . . if you are serious about climbing in Korea and want to be part of the community, give us some hint of who you are, where you are, where you've been and where you're going!

I see a lot of (often vague) new "members". . .

if you're posting, if you're serious. . . flesh it out!!!

(Please don't try to make any sense of the previous posts in this thread!! All of those (us) people obviously had other stuff going on at that time. . .) just go to "my account" and answer Eric's questions either truthfully or humourously. . . and upload a photo of yourself, some cute animal, whacked out image or however you feel you're best personified.
