So after a few beerios the Big E, Karen, Kyung Ah and I thought "Ahhh why not, eh? Let's see if we can make a 2007 KOTR calender."
Karen and Eric's aptly named "Sage" barked a pretty damned committed agreement I might add, so the basic banana is this:
WE need some good photos. Send us your best shot/shots for a later selection vote thing. If they are digital, they'd need be pretty big so as we can blow them up to a size fitting a KOTR calender. Eric will talk tech on pixels and so on. You know, I dunno if the pics need be this years work, or that they must contain KOTR folk (but that might be good anyways). But, I'm sort of feeling that they should somehow relate to the Korean mountain/climbing scene in which we partake, but a good pic is good no matter what the content. Mist shrouded peaks, rimed up trees, dynoing dudes/dudettes, a trad rack at a temple gate, bleeding knuckles, KOTR events etc.
Just as a precaution, if your pic has recognizable faces of people, try and make sure they are cool with being included in the concept...some maybe averse to such publicity, their call.
Also any conceptual ideas, layout suggestions or whatever let us know. We hope you cats will flood us with options and that we can get this little number out by January-ish.
Okey dokey, get crackin' and snappin'. Remember KOTR is what we all make of it. If you have other wild thoughts, post 'em. No-one is your boss/director here.
