While some of my favorite vegetarians (vraddict, ilsanbro, melanie, grande, curiousj and charissa. . .) have dearly departed (Korea)! (and others jumped ship), I know some of you are still around, and a few more are joining the fold!

Thanks to Eric, I have been able to get a much more comprehensive and interactive (i.e. you can post comments) site of interest to vegans, vegetarians and others who try to live a more natural and sustainable lifestyle, in particular in relation to food. It's now at the more memorable: www.vegetariankorea.org

Please check it out! I'd love it if KOTR folks could check out a restaurant or two in/near their city and fill in any blanks with information! I am open to any suggestions!

Hey there,

I love the new site! Where did you get that crazy photo of you standing by the gigantic vegetables?

Anyway, I've been to the buffet in Daejeon near the bus station once a long time ago. Now we have a better reason to go back and grab a menu and take photos... Hopefully there is some crazy sculpture for Eric to pose next to.

D--While you're at it, feel free to double check my Korean vocabulary page and any and all info. . . I might have you check some stuff over the weekend. . .

K-- the "vegetable tree" was in front of a department store in/near Myeong-dong in Seoul. Just one of those. . . why? never mind. I need a picture of that" moments.

There is an excellent Buddhist restaurant here in Ilsan (ate there quite a few times with Ilsanbro - who isn't a vegetarian, by the way, as mentioned in the first post) that is owned and operated by layperson Buddhists. It's called 풍경소리, literary "Windchime Sound", and serves remarkable food. So, if anyone's in the Ilsan area, head to Baekma Ahni-geol for some great veggie Buddhist grub.
