Hey guys, Season is due to start soon, although somewhat limited on runs. There was a 80% chance of yongpyong opening this Friday, but that has gone back to about 10% now, although they say that very likely will open next week. Have to wait and see I guess. Hope this news excites some people. Those season pass holders out there who live near by will get some benefit of an early season I am sure.

i'm excited... i've been warming up some people in the south with the idea of a ski trip or two to the north :) (i can't ski worth crap, grew up in the prairies of canada, but i love to throw myself down the hills in a haphazard fashion then nurse my bruises and so forth with beer!!)

Yongpyong opened today. Only one run, but it is a start, and I see on the web cam that they are currently making snow at the moment to extend the open run and get a base down on some other runs. Hope it stays cold and we get low humidity. I am sure a the beers will remove the pain of the bruises.

For those who like it cold, powder in the nose, schnapps and slaps apres perhaps? Check out this quick link to Korean ski resorts!

So, we popped on down to Muju and did the ski thing yesterday (Fri 22nd), and it was good. Not all courses were open, but the crowds were lightish, and the snow reasonable. KA had a great day all but mastering the art of surviving collisions with other skiers and despite a sore "derriere" (pardon my French) from a few hard falls is keen as mustard for the next session.
