Hey Eric,

Once Again Great Site You Rock.

OK so Here is a suggestion I was talking with Erin and Ross it dawned on me that it might be nice to have the KORAIL.com or the BOROTA (http://english.barota.com/en/main/eng_menu_frame.jsp?url=/en/pr/pr11100/w_pr11110.jsp) site for train schedules.

good idea

check out the bottom of the left hand column. theres a new section called Korea Links with the weather and train schedule so far. if someone knows a good bus schedule site, post it here and i can add it the list.

thanks mike! :)

I know of nothing like Barota for busses as there are many different companies operating express and inner-city routes, and schedules do change. I am trying to compile a comprehensive bus guide (http://www.koreaontherocks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=618&highlight=bus). Please e-mail me digital photos of your home-town bus terminal timetable, and any that you might come across in your travels. I have a few right now, and I will be happy to make anything I have available to anyone and/or to Eric if he knows what to do with it. Need everyone's help, though!!

Eric, is there a way you might use my collection of digital photos of bus schedules? I have not tried to put anything beyond Jeonju in English. There's no comprehensive guide, and even the KNTO schedule (for Seoulites) gets dated quickly (but no worries, busses leave to/from Seoul a bunch!!). . . I've been told that this is because too many private companies actually run the express/inner-city busses, some of these companies being national while others regional. Many city/regional maps (that you get from tourist info) and websites (many cities/guns/myeons and ri's, etc have websites at least partly in English) list major routes with approximate times and intervals and/or phone numbers for the terminals and/or bus companies. For (slightly) less reliable but easier info, (this could probably go in another thread, and should be mentioned often by everyone) Korea operates a foreigner help line at 1330 (local area code will help direct your call) with English help. They will call and check your route and call you back. They will help you with connections, and pretty much anything, not just busses (though usually they are little help for finding the climbing walls! That seems to be their main limitation!).

how many pics do you have. if just a few, then we could stick them in a thread. if you have a lot, we could make a category of photos in the gallery and we could post them there. i'd probably refer that method anyway.

Eric, that would be brilliant. Instead of everyone mailing their digital photos of bus timetables to me, could you set up something where people could post by province and city might be easiest. Something that future people could update. Most people could find the place name of where they are going in Hanguel or if the info was easily available, someone on the site could "translate" it for new people. I would be happy to contribute everything I have and direct my comprehensive bus guide thread to the new, what would it be, gallery?
