OK, After a rough pre-Chuseok. . . last week was the ultimate road trip (nice to meet up with and run into so many KOTR members!!) . . .

I get home and my school gave each of us an EM (their home brand) Chuseok gift set of natural soaps, shampoos, etc. . .

and then our office has a birthday potluck with homemade chocolate cake and brownies. . .

so my taxi driver passes up Total Sauna (because wee are so engaged in conversation. . .in Korean. . . so I forgive him) and we are backtracking and guess what I find not-so-far from my house. . .

Now 11/11 may be Pepero Day for most of you, but for me and my neighbors in Jeonju/Jeollabuk-do and maybe even surrounding areas, 11/11 is the grand opening of a new

ORGANIC PIZZA PARLOR in Jeonju. . . and the photos of pizza (no Kim'chi!!!) look AMAZING!! I will be spreading the word to my friends, colleages and students. . . I want a grand opening!!

Damn it just keeps getting better!!

11/11 may be Pepero Day in Korea but it's WWI memorial Day in Aust/NZ/Europe. A solemn affair which we can only hope gives a not too subtle nudge in the ribs for our squabbling fellow mankind. Still, Pizza in George Costanza's words "is like sex. Even when it's bad, it's still pretty good."

Geez guys and girls. . . Here I am trying to share my serendipitous moments with this -- hint hint "It keeps getting better" and "the good news thread". . . and everyone is trying to bring it down!!

No offence to all the men and women who with honorable intentions fought in WWI. . . but I will be enjoying organic pizza. . .

I have no idea who this George is, but I've heard the pizza and sex comparison before and I must disagree. I prefer to avoid bad pizza and bad sex. Sadly, I've had the former far too many times. Hence, the only pizza for me these days is in Seoul. . . until 11/11 (I hope!!). . . because good wholesome and sustainably grown ingredients are a great foundation for a pizza. . .

Food is too good, especially pizza, and too important (literally it is what makes our physical body and what nourishes our spirit-- food, not pizza necessarily) to consume even mediocre fare on any regular basis!

SO back to the positive thrust of this thread!! Indulge me!! Shanja, you come and I'll throw in a beer with which to toast the war heros! Yohja,. . . you come and I'll throw in the beer to drown your sorrows.
