Well, hulk made it down Friday, which worked out well as we were able to find some climbing. Not the sea-cliffs, but a prominent rock over a little village. We did a multi-pitch to the summit and enjoyed the views. As it was Buddha's Birthday, somewhere in the distance Buddhist chanting/drumming filled the whole village and all the way to our rock, really adding to the atmosphere. Great views of the beach from the top.
Shanja, good talking to you! I guess you noticed it was raining here. We woke up to pitter patter and whistling winds. Rick's weather report doesn't begin to do justice to the winds and gales now (2:00ish) though I am hoping that they do lighten up. We noticed the ferries stopped running and climbing doesn't really seem feasible today. The whole island is pretty dead! And we are pretty wet! We do get Arirang at the min-bak:)
